Last Updated: September 2026. How SoloTreasury protects your financial sovereignty and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Complete Financial Data Sovereignty
Unlike cloud-based accounting platforms that store your client lists, invoices, bank balances, and revenue numbers on third-party multi-tenant databases, SoloTreasury operates with zero server-side storage of your financial records.
- When you download the Excel file, your data resides 100% locally on your own computer.
- When you make a copy to Google Sheets, your data resides entirely in your own private Google Drive under your personal Google Account security.
- SoloTreasury has zero technical ability to access, inspect, aggregate, or sell your private revenue, client information, or tax deductions.
2. Data Controller Identity & Responsibilities
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679):
- Aspecterra Limited acts as the Data Controller for your product delivery, digital license fulfillment, customer communication, and support inquiries.
- Lemon Squeezy, LLC acts as an independent Data Controller for your checkout billing, payment processing, fraud prevention, and statutory tax invoicing data.
3. Information Collected During Purchase
When you purchase SoloTreasury, transactions are handled by our Merchant of Record (Lemon Squeezy / Stripe). We collect only the minimum necessary data to fulfill your order:
- Full Name & Email Address: Used strictly to deliver template download links, version updates, and critical tax calendar notices.
- Billing Country & VAT ID (if applicable): Collected solely for statutory EU VAT calculation and invoicing.
- Payment Details: Processed securely via encrypted 256-bit gateways. We never receive or store your raw payment card numbers.
4. Your Rights Under GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679)
As a European resident or user of SoloTreasury, you have full statutory rights under the GDPR:
- Right to Access: You may request a copy of the transactional contact data we hold about you.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You may request complete deletion of your email address from our delivery database at any time.
- Right to Object & Rectification: You may correct your contact details or unsubscribe from product update emails with a single click.
- Right to Lodge a Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the statutory right to lodge a complaint with your national Data Protection Authority (DPA) in your EU member state of residence, workplace, or place of the alleged infringement.

4. Cookie & Tracking Technologies Policy
In compliance with the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC as amended) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), SoloTreasury uses cookies and local browser storage to ensure platform security, analyze site usage, and optimize advertising campaigns.
Categories of Cookies Used:
Vital for site security, session maintenance, checkout completion, and saving your consent status. Under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and Section 25(2) TDDDG (Germany), these do not require prior consent because the platform cannot function securely without them.
With your prior affirmative consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), we use Google Analytics 4 to collect aggregated, anonymized metrics on page interactions, session duration, device types, and geographic location. IP anonymization is active by default.
With your prior affirmative consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), we deploy conversion tags for Google Ads and Meta Pixel. These cookies measure advertising efficiency and allow us to present tailored treasury updates to freelancers on Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
