- A Cyprus company pays 15% corporate tax. A non-domiciled owner pays no SDC on dividends and GESY at 2.65%, capped. Salary through payroll adds social insurance on both sides.
- The saving is what you lose today minus what you would lose in Cyprus, minus the fees. Year one carries the formation and relocation fees; later years only the annual fee.
- Whether it is worth it depends on your profit and on being Cyprus tax resident. Fewer than 60 days a year in Cyprus and the comparison does not apply to you.
1. Your numbers
Enter your figures. The results update as you type.
Revenue minus business costs, before any salary or dividend to you.
Add up the income tax, corporate tax, dividend tax and social contributions you paid last year and divide by your profit. Your accountant's annual summary has the figures. This version does not model your current country; it uses the share you type.
Capped at what the profit can carry, as in the owner-pay estimator.
Amounts only. Whether you qualify is for your accountant to confirm.
Most people who move to Cyprus are non-domiciled for up to 17 years. Domiciled owners pay 5% SDC on dividends.
Year-one and ongoing fees, EUR, editable
Floors published by licensed Cyprus firms, checked on 28 October 2026, excluding VAT and government fees. Formation: Fidesta (cypruscompany.com) €1,350; Christophi & Associates quotes €1,300 all-in with the first year's registered office. Relocation and non-dom registration: Fidesta's company-plus-non-dom package of €3,200 less its formation fee. Annual: Privacy Management Group's all-in fee for up to 125 entries, including bookkeeping, VAT, accounts, audit and payroll. Edit the figures to the quotes you receive. A partner firm's dated price sheet replaces these defaults once one exists.
2. What the numbers say
Fewer than 60 days in Cyprus means you would not be Cyprus tax resident. The numbers assume residency and do not apply to you as things stand.
Enter the share of your profit you lose today in section 1 to see the comparison and the verdict.
The yearly saving is above €5,000 and above 5% of your profit, and year one is positive after fees.
The yearly saving is positive but under €5,000 or under 5% of your profit. Fees or a change in your situation can wipe it out.
Year one costs more than it saves; from year two the saving is positive. Decide on the later years, not on year one.
What you would lose in Cyprus plus the fees is as much as, or more than, what you lose today. The freelancer guides (Germany, Spain) and the Freelancer Edition fit your situation better than a company.
Planning figures under the 2026 rules for a full year, from published sources dated 28 October 2026. Eligibility for an exemption, your domicile, your tax residency and the social insurance treatment of a shareholder-director are for your accountant to confirm. Nothing here is a ruling or advice.
If the numbers hold, the next question is monthly.
SoloTreasury Cyprus Company Edition is the Google Sheet that keeps the plan current as you record invoices and expenses: planned owner pay, the reserve for corporate tax, VAT and payroll, and a briefing for your accountant.
€149 one-time · Google account required · One-time Google authorization to use the sheet. Planning estimates to review with your accountant, not tax advice or filing software.3. What this does not include
- Exit rules in the country you leave. Some countries tax company shares or unpaid profits when the owner moves away. Ask your current accountant before you move, not after.
- Substance: where the work is done and where decisions are taken. A company run from another country can be taxed there.
- Housing, schooling, flights and the cost of living in Cyprus.
- Losing non-dom status after 17 of the last 20 years as a Cyprus resident.
- Government fees and VAT on the firms' fees.
- Your current country's tax in detail. This version uses the share you type; a later version adds dated country figures by profit band.
4. Get this as a written report
The report repeats the numbers above, adds the questions to ask a licensed firm, and lists the sources. It is sent once. No sequence follows unless you ask for updates.
5. Questions and answers
Why do you ask what I lose today instead of calculating it?
This version does not model UK, German or Dutch tax. Three countries with progressive rates, dividend rules and social contributions are a project of their own. The share you type is your own figure; a later version adds dated country figures by profit band.
Does the calculator recommend moving to Cyprus?
No. It compares two sets of numbers at your inputs and says whether the saving is large, small or absent. Whether to move is a decision about your life, your clients and your family, taken with your accountant.
What does non-domiciled mean here?
A Cyprus tax resident without a Cyprus domicile of origin. Non-domiciled owners pay no SDC on dividends and GESY at 2.65%, capped. Someone who has been Cyprus resident for 17 of the last 20 years becomes domiciled.
Where do the fees come from?
From the published price lists of licensed Cyprus firms, checked on 28 October 2026 and named under the table. They are floors, excluding VAT and government fees. Edit them to the quotes you receive.
Who sees my numbers?
Nobody, until you ask for the report. The calculator runs in your browser. The report form sends your inputs and results to us so that we can email them to you. A partner introduction happens only if you tick that box.
Why does the 60-day rule matter?
Tax residency is the precondition for the whole comparison. Cyprus treats you as resident after 183 days, or after 60 days with a home and a business or employment tie here and no tax residency elsewhere; confirm the conditions with your accountant. Fewer than 60 days and the Cyprus numbers do not apply to you.
